Dr. Ebony S. Vinson is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in integrated care models, health psychology, and culturally responsive psychological intervention. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with her Ph.D. in clinical psychology, she completed her clinical health psychology fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Vinson has advanced clinical skills in the field of health psychology, specifically in integrated care models, pre-surgical psychological assessment for solid organ transplantation and bariatric surgery, and psychological intervention focused on health behavior promotion and managing chronic illness. Her research interests and areas of publication include cultural humility in health care, mental illness stigma, consequences of traumatic stress in African American women, racism-related coping, and cross-cultural factors in assessment.
