Dr. Howard J. Lloyd is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in culturally responsive psychological interventions and consultation. Dr. Lloyd focuses on the impact of intersecting identities in various settings. A graduate of the University of Kentucky counseling psychology program, Dr. Lloyd went on to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where he was a staff psychologist and men's issues specialist. During his time at VCU Dr. Lloyd also created the counseling services diversity work group and co-led a student run organization, Men Against Violence, which sought to engage university stakeholders in dialogue regarding masculinity and intimate partner violence. Dr. Lloyd has gone on to the Department of Veterans Affairs to work with military veterans to address a myriad of mental health concerns. Dr. Lloyd's publications and research interest closely align with his clinical work focusing on the impact of multicultural identities on psychological well-being.
